An internationally recognized symbol of a maritime vessel in distress is a black square and black circle on a field of orange. 

We've created a series of Distress Signal art prints as a way of growing a community of likeminded people who recognize the very real and immediate danger that we're in.

Pick an issue: from the willful denial of the climate crisis, to the brazen, illegal harassment of citizens by masked thugs acting under governmental mandate, to the dozens of societal issues in between, America is struggling. We need to recognize these problems are problems, understand that elected officials aren't the complete answer, and signal to others that we are here to help. 

Use these prints as signals to others who seek understanding and support. Use them as reminders. Use them to demarcate a safe space. We protect us. We save us. 

Drawing from a wide range of artistic styles — ranging from minimal suprematism to naive woodcuts, horror comics to hobo codes — the goal is produce a broad spectrum of Distress Signals: identical in purpose, but divergent in taste. This allows everyone to find the Signal that resonates with them, while also representing the power and positivity of a diverse community. Your order will arrive roughly 7 calendar days after you place your order. Your print will be produced within 3-4 days, and then shipped via UPS with a tracking number.

Larger unframed prints will ship rolled; smaller prints will ship flat. Everything is well protected from damage.

All prints are created when ordered as a much more environmentally friendly alternative to stockpiling. However, since items are print-on-demand, we cannot accept returns or exchanges unless there's demonstrable damage or misrepresentation.

All prints are created in the US and shipped from the US.

If you order a print with a frame, you'll receive the print and the frame separately. You'll have to put the print in the frame. Yes, this is annoying, but it really helps keep costs lower.

The frame does not come with a matte — which is fine, as you don’t need one. Any image that shows a frame with a matte is for example purposes only.

The frame includes a plexiglass art cover. (When we can source affordable frames with glass art covers, we will.)

There are various items seen in some of the example images. Please note that your order will include only an art print with or without frame. Seems obvious, but you'd be surprised.

You’ll notice a watermark in some of the images. Your print will not have any watermarks, signatures or social media handles. Just an art print that both broadcasts and connects.
